Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our Operations Department. This represents an outstanding opportunity for the right person to join, what many consider to be, the Number #1 Metal Workholding Manufacturer in the World.

Position Profile Summary

This position is located at our Schaumburg, Illinois Headquarters

The Quality Control Inspector Will be Responsible For:

Perform and document inspections of Purchased / Mfg. parts, assemblies, subassemblies or finished company products using standard mechanical, physical and/or electrical metric measurements
Rework or reject assemblies or finished products as required
Calibrate metric measuring equipment to Mfg. specifications
Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standard
Accurately document the results of inspection and testing
Take initiative to manage schedule of work in process and keep supervisor up to date on issues which may prevent on time deliveries. Prioritizes work to utilize time effectively.
Communicate with engineers, production personnel, managers and others regarding root cause of issues (gauges, inspections, material, testing, etc.), to resolve problems.
Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and check lists
Maintain all controlled document files, reports and test records in timely and accurate manner
Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures (Knowledge of GAGEtrak Calibration Software a plus)
Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.

Requirements for the position include (but are not limited to):

2+ years hands on Quality Control Inspection experience in metal working industry
Proficient in the use of metric measuring instruments (micrometers and calipers)
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform well with allotted time constraints
Knowledge and use of FaroArm a plus
High School Diploma or equivalent
